A millionaire tech boss is suing Tesla for £39,000 over a squeaky seat.
Alain Cohen bought one of the electric car maker’s £97,000 Model S cars in 2015 but was infuriated by a ‘frequent squeaking noise’ coming from a back seat.
He took the vehicle to be repaired but its leather upholstery suffered a small tear during the work – and the noise was not fixed, court papers claim.
Cohen, 50, attempted to solve the problem by contacting customer services but says he got nowhere after 12 months of ignored emails and phone calls.
Tesla said it had been trying to fix the problem but the entrepreneur had not brought his car in for a new seat to be fitted.
